My name is Dr. Talal Khalil (GDC No: 205679), a qualified dental surgeon having graduated in general dentistry at Safarik University in Slovakia in 2002.
I started my dental career at the Louis Pasteur Faculty Hospital where I gained experience in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. My interests include oral surgery and I have been incredibly lucky to work with some of the most skilled and experienced oral surgeons at the faculty teaching hospital.
I am proud to keep my knowledge and skills up-to-date by working closely with a wide range of highly experienced clinicians. I regularly attend workshops and courses to keep abreast of the latest developments in the dental profession.

All patients will require an initial consultation to determine if they could be a suitable candidate for dental implants. We will need to ask questions about your medical history and your lifestyle and then complete a thorough examination of your mouth and jaw. A CT scan will also be carried out to determine whether you have sufficient bone density for this kind of treatment.

Due to its complex nature, the same day teeth treatment requires a thorough initial examination to make sure you are a suitable candidate for the procedure. This includes X-rays to help determine the optimum position for the implant.
If it is appropriate to proceed, we will then create a bespoke written treatment plan that is tailored to you and your needs. By the end of your consultation, you should be able to make an informed choice about whether you would like to go ahead with the treatment.
Every step of the way, we want you to feel comfortable and confident that the treatment is safe, efficient and the right choice for you.
After your initial consultation, if you decide to go ahead with the treatment, we will work with you to create a schedule for the procedure. Usually, a whole day is required.
The appointment will typically start at 9am and last until around 4pm. At the end of the day, you will leave the practice with your new teeth in place.

The same day teeth treatment is usually carried out under a local anaesthetic, so you will be awake and alert throughout the treatment, but you won’t feel any pain.
Intravenous sedation is also available if this would make you more comfortable.
If required, any failing teeth will be removed before your implants are placed. We typically use either 4 or 6 implants, depending on your case.
Your new teeth will be made specifically for you so that they feel natural and balance with your facial features. Once the implants have been placed, we attach the new teeth and you will be ready to leave the practice with your stunning new smile.
The result is a complete transformation, and we ensure that all of our clients are left with a happier and healthier smile.
As the anaesthetic wears off, you may experience some discomfort. This should be easily managed with over-the-counter pain medication. You might have some bruising and swelling around the implant site, but this should settle down after two to three days.
To help manage the swelling, we recommend placing ice packs against the cheek for 10 minutes at a time. You can also try sleeping upright or on your back at night so that there is no pressure on the implant
